Day-of checklist

2. Call the recording office above if any recording question is still open — do not assume it can be answered at the table.
3. Bring ID and payment (§ What to bring).
4. Read each document before signing; ask for any blank or changed figure to be explained before you sign.
5. Get a copy of every signed document before you leave.
6. Ask when and where the deed will be recorded, and how you will receive the recorded copy.
